What is a Confocal Microscope?
Confocal microscopes are used to study living cells and tissues, providing high-resolution, three-dimensional images with exceptional detail. They are particularly useful for investigating cellular processes, protein localization, and fluorescently-labeled molecules in living cells.
The Echo Confocal features a state-of-the-art spinning disk confocal microscope that provides researchers with a versatile imaging tool for conducting fast and efficient 3D imaging of live cells in bioprinted 3D tissue models, organoids, and spheroids; without compromising the biological complexity and fast dynamic processes inside the cell membrane.
Confocal brings clarity to the smallest of samples as well as the ability to image thicker samples. The system also reduces photobleaching, suiting live cell applications.
